what the date is today可以的。
有what day is it today , 没有 what day is today的.但是你问的是日期,what day is it today问的是星期几.有这么问,但是问题是不一样的.
不可以说what was it yesterday?因为问的是昨天天气怎么样. 问怎么样的问句都是用how的.
有what is the weather like today?和how is the weather today?两句意思相同.但是没有what is the weather today?这么说的.

我是初三的.根据我的水平,我觉得是这样的.

1、都不可以，What is the date today是问日期的固定问法
2、不可以，问的是怎样，而不是“是什么”，所以用how
3、可以，问天气可以用这两种问法，请注意不同时态be动词的变化

What is the date today?=What date is it today?你少了一个it
What is the weather today?=How is the weather today?这个你正确了
How was it yesterday?不能写成What was it yesterday?因为这个how是用在昨天过得怎么样。不是昨天是什么。
