3，or 也有否则的意思，和另一个也有“否则”含义的 otherwise 能互换吗？ 如：We didn’t know his telephone number; otherwise we would have telephoned him. 能等于 We didn't know his telephone number , or we would have telephoned him. 吗？

1. 如果句意为：你本该通过这次考试的，则最好使用：You should have passed this exam.
should have done sth 本该做某事（事实上没做）
You would have passed this exam的准确意思是：你本会通过这次考试的。
You could have passed this exam的准确意思是：你本可以/本能通过这次考试的。

这三个短语意思上还是稍微有点区别的。

3. 表示“否则”并做连词时，两者可以互换，没有区别。
但是otherwise还有adj./adv.用法，而or当然有也有“或者”的用法，此时差别太大，暂不赘述。
