the others
是“其余的”意思, 表示在一个范围内的其他全部, 如: This dictionary is better than the others. 这本字典比别[其余]的好。
the other

①other作形容词时，不能单独使用，意思是“其余的；别的”，修是单数名词时，other之前必须有一个限定词the，any，one，no，some，your等。例如：
