1. 让步状语从句，主从句主语一致 都是he，所以从句省略主语的时候考虑he和lack的主被动关系。由于是主动 所以用lack的现在分词形式。lacking。
2.如果将这句话看成普通并列句。即It is a fine day and my best friend...........。由于现在这里没有连词，一句话中不能有两个谓语动词，所以将is改为be动词的现在分次形式。理由和第一题一样。
3.water是不可数名词，所以选B。追问
