Stress Relief
A:Hi, Mary and Tom ,can you do me a favor?
BC: All right,What's wrong?
A:I am having great stress and gets angry easily.
C:Can you list some examples about your stress?
A:Right, I am overloaded by the homework,and I am facing lots of challenges.
B:Can you cope with the pressures placed upon you?
A:No,so i ask you both for help.
B:Some stresses get you going and they are good for you.
C: Without any stress at all many say our lives would be boring and would probably feel pointless.
B: So,when the stresses undermine both our mental and physical health they are bad.
A:I feel some in my body as well as in my mind.
B: Such as?
A:My digestive system slows down;my muscles become tense and I can not sleep well.
C:A persistently negative response to challenges will eventually have a negative effect on your health and happiness.
B:I agree with you.Some of the effects of stress on our thoughts and feelings .
A:Yeah,even my behavior,such as sudden angry outbursts,eating too much or too little,and some relationship problems.
A:How to deal with stress?
B:There are three broad methods you can follow to treat stress.
C:What are they?
B;They include self-help, self management, and medication.
A:What is the self help for treating stress?
C:Exercise has been proven to have a beneficial effect on a person's mental and physical state
A:Anything else?
B:Division of labor- try to delegate your responsibilities at work, or share them. If you make yourself indispensable the likelihood of your feeling highly stressed is significantly greater.
A: I know, What is the self management?
C:Stress management techniques can be gained if you read self-help books, or attend a stress management course.
A:And medication?
B:Doctors will not usually prescribe medications for coping with stress, unless the patient has an underlying illness, such as depression or some type of anxiety.
C:Bear in mind that there is a risk that all the medication will do is mask the stress, rather than help you deal and cope with it.
A:I learned more from you both,I can express my thoughts and worries with you,I am so relax.
