被动语态是指句子的主语不是动作的执行者而是承受者时，就要用被动语态，这种语态的结构是：

BE动词+过去分词，也有时态和人称的变化

例：

这本书是一个著名作家写的：

This book was written by a famous writer

分析这个句子

句中主语是“这本书”，但这本书不能执行“写”这个动作，所以这个句子就要用被动语态。由于书已经被写，所以要用一般过去时，“written”就是动词“write”的过去分词。“By”接的是这个动作的执行者，即“一个著名的作家”

被动语态就是将宾语和主语的位置对调，在把动词改成过去分词形式，结构是：be动词+动词过去分词
一般现、过用be done, be有人称、时、数变
例：主动：The children gave the foreign guests a warm welcome.
被动：The foreign guests were given a warm welcome by the children.
孩子们热烈地欢迎外宾。
完成时态have been done
例：主动：We have studied English for 3 years off and on at the spare-time school.
被动：English has been studied for 3 years off and on at the spare-time school. (have随新主语变为has)
我们已经在夜校里断断续续地学了三年英语了
过去完成时就是把完成时态中的have改成had
一般将来shall (will) be done
例：主动: We shall build several big modern power plants in our city next year.
被动：Several big modern power plants will be built in our city next year.
过年我市将建立几座大型现代化的发电厂。
注意：shall只用于第一人称

句中，擦窗子的是“我”，动词是擦，窗子是被擦的。当“我”（施动者）做主语时，即为主动语态；当“窗子”（受动者）做主语时，即为被动态。
