介词“in”
1、在某个范围一点: These boys like playing in the street.这些男孩喜欢在街上玩。
2、在某物形体内: There is a book in the desk.书桌里有一本书。
3、进去: After I got in the car, my father drove off.我上车后，爸爸就开车了。
4、包含在...内: We all know there are thirty-one days in January.我们都知道一月分有31天。
5、在某段时间内:

介词on的用法
1、on表示时间,用于星期、日期
如：on Sunday／Sundays,on Monday ／afternoon／evening等.
on也用于某一日的名词前,用于公共节假日前.如：
On New Years Day 在元旦,on Childrens Day 在儿童节等。
2、on表示地点、位置,有"在.旁"、"接近"、"靠近"之意.如：
a house on the main road 临大街的房子,sit on my right 坐在我的`右边
3、on表示状态,译为"处于.情况中,从事于."等.如：
on duty 值日,on holiday 度假
4、on表示"在.上面",用在表示物体的名词前.如：
on the box 在盒子上
today 是直接用的。on 表示在具体的某一天。
on跟in区别：含义不同、用法不同、侧重点不同。
一、含义不同
on
prep. 在 ... 之上；由 ... 支撑着；在（某一天）；关于；基于。
adv. 穿着；向前（移动)；表示持续性。
adj. 表示已连接、处于工作状态或使用中；发生；值班。
in
prep. 在 ... 里；在 ... 地方；在 ... 期间；在 ... 方面；进入...里面；处于...状态；穿着...；以...的方式。
adv. 在家；入；进；向里；在某地；并入；在某种关系中。
adj. 在里面的；新来的；执政的；<口>时髦的。
n. 当权者；影响；达成目标的路径。
二、用法不同
on
on意思是“根据”“按照”，是根据事物发生和存在所依靠的基础这一用法，由此引申为“根据，按照”，与之连用的词一般是表示忠告、规则、命令、指示、协议、建议、原理的名词。
on意思是“靠近,在?旁边”，一般表示与江〔河，湖，海〕岸或铁路线呈线状的地点相接触，含有“邻接，濒临”的意思。
on含“在??上”之意，指与另一物表面相接触。
The book is on the table.
书在桌子上。
The spider is walking on the ceiling.
蜘蛛在天花板上爬行。
in
in含“在??”之意。表地点时，指在某一立体空间范围内；表时间时，指一段时间或与年、月、季节时间连用。
in含有“在?(时间)以内”意思。着重一段时间的过程,常用于重复动作或延续动作。in表示“在里面”的静止状态或一定范围内的动作。
The telephone was in the little study on the ground floor.
电话在底楼的小书房里。
The books are printed in Hong Kong.
这些书在香港印刷。
三、侧重点不同
on
on表示“在物体的表面上”。只能用on的表达方式有on the next morning，on the following afternoon，on the preceding evening，on the night before，
on the morning of 6 January等。英美两国人在用in与on的习惯上不同。而表示“手脚上的斑点”时，应用介词on。
in
in表示“在其中”。只能用in的表达方式有in the morning，in the afternoon，in the evening和in the night。英美两国人在用in与on的习惯上不同。
表示“在报上，地图上”等时，介词用in，而不用on。表示“手，脚受伤”时，应用介词in。
