(1) 宾语可以是人，此时address表示：
1、在一群人面前发表演讲。
He addressed a mass meeting. 他在一次群众集会上讲了话。
2、称呼某人为（as...）。
She always addressed me as "my daughter." 她总是把我叫做“我的女儿”。
(2) 宾语是某个主张、建议、要求之类，address表示“提交”，提交的对象用介词to引入。
