is behind: 就是说这句话指的时候也还是在后面。
example: She was always behind you in school.
If you don't study you will fall behind.

from behind: 就是这句话指的时候已就不在后面了，只是之前在后面而已。
example: She's catching up from behind.
He got attacked from behind.(attack的时候就已就不在后面了)

behind 可以是副词介词名词
多表示在后面，名词是屁股【非正式用语】
