关于英语中的强调句与定语从句

一道完成句子：
－Where did you come across Tom?
－It was in the library＿some books the day before yesterday.(read)标准答案是where we read，但是我觉得应该是强调句that we read，感觉用where引导的定语从句不能这样使用
我也觉得这题本身就有问题，武汉二中的一神经病老师出的题目…

严重同意楼主的观点，此处应为that

It +be +强调部分 + that (who) + 主谓句。 当强调的部分是人，且为句子的主语时，才用 "who"，其余用that。

原句： My father did the experiment in the lab yesterday evening.
强调主语： It was my father who did the experiment in the lab yesterday evening.
强调宾语： It was the experiment that my father did in the lab yesterday evening.
强调时间： It was yesterday evening that my father did the experiment in the lab. (注意不用when)
强调地点： It was in the lab that my father did the experiment yesterday evening.

若是强调句，去掉It be… that之后，还应是一个完整的句子，而此处去掉强调句结构之后，此句依然是语法和逻辑都正确的句子，即In the library we read some books the day before yesterday. 应该用that。

补充问题的回答：
这道题本身就有问题，如果用where：
Where did you come across Tom?
回答：In the library where we read some books the day before yesterday.
或者：We came across Tom in the library where we read some books the day before yesterday.

其实，我个人感觉用when更好：
Where did you come across Tom?
回答：In the library when we were reading some books the day before yesterday.
或者：We came across Tom in the library when we were reading some books the day before yesterday.
根本不可能用It was 句型。
如果出现It was 句型，个人意见还是用 that。
出这道题的人太变态，纯粹是为了考试而考试，不适用，逻辑上也讲不通。中国人出的英语题大多如此，害人，害人啊。

判断强调句的最好方法也是唯一方法就是把it is 和that 都去掉，然后看看句子是否还是完整正确的。用这种方法分析你的句子，把it was 和横线那个空去掉的话，句子就成了“in the library some books the day before yesterday ”了。这个句子既没主语也没谓语，有的只是几个杂乱的状语，所以它是一个错误句子，故不是强调句。而where引导的定语从句修饰the library ，什么样的图书馆，是我们前天读了几本书的那个图书馆。故用where 引导定语从句。

In the library是地点，应该用Where引导的定语从句。
你说的That引导的，并不是强调句，实际是that定语从句，但That只能修饰名词，代词一类的，不能跟在地点后面。
况且此处对话气氛里需要强调吗？不符合正常对话逻辑
