4、1953年由上海市佛教协会复制各殿佛像，重修各殿宇，新建藏经楼等。寺西之桃园于民国十七年（1928年）辟为血华公园，后改名为龙华公园。现今为龙华烈士陵园的一部分。1959年，龙华寺被列为上海市文物保护单位。
