while什么时候接ing

我的意思是做连词后的从句 谓语动词加ing，老师说无论什么时候都加ing，对吗？

while表示“正当...时候”时，后面的动词形式为be doing，若后面是形容词就无须用ing；while表示“而”时，后面动词不一定用ing。
举例说明：1 While I was cooking ，she came to see me.
(正当我做饭的时候她来看我)
2 He likes pears,while I like apples.
(他喜欢梨,而我喜欢苹果)
3 At that time you were playing,while I was studying.
(那时你在玩耍,而我在学习)本回答被提问者采纳

这里while不是做连词，而是一个类似形容词的词

举例

We are whiling away the time, waiting for the train to come in.
我们只是在消磨时间，等着车进来。

I'm just whiling away my time, waiting for the train to come in.
我只是在消磨时间，等待火车进站。
