Water-borne polyurethane (PU) due in use process preparation and use less organic solvent, products of volatile organic compounds (VOC) content is low, the environmental impact, developing very rapidly. But the water-borne polyurethane resin, compared with pu still exist many shortcomings, such as membrane gloss, film for a long time, water resistant weathering and expensive, etc. Therefore necessary to appropriate modification of waterborne polyurethane, improve the comprehensive performance, expand the scope of application.
In toluene diisocyanate (TDI), polyether polyols (PPG220), dimethylolpropionic acid (DMPA) as raw material, and then some synthetic PU with acrylic monomers on the emulsion polymerization of acrylic modified modification of waterborne polyurethane emulsion (WPUA). Through a series of modified synthetic latex, discusses its appearance, latex coated membrane stability, viscosity, hardness, raw material usage and the processing conditions on the performance of the product on the synthesis of waterborne acrylic polyurethane emulsion formulation and process of the best material conditions.
Research shows that the temperature gets together for 60 degrees, by time 300min, DMPA content 8%, crosslinking agent for 1%, TMP content and degree to 90% for 30 degrees Celsius, and temperature, the emulsion and the coating performance is the best.

water-based polyurethane seldom use organic solvent in the process of preparation and usage. with lower content of volatile organic contaminant. less bad effect to the natural environment, so PU develop fastly. however, much of disadvantages will be showed when compare PU with solvent polyurethane, for instance,bad gloss of film formation, long time of film formation ,bad resistence to water and wheather, high cost and so on. so it is necessary to change its properties,enhance its comprehensive performance and expand its range of application.
in this article, will use TDI 'PPG220 'DMPA as the raw matetial to
