关于both

We both tried to get the coins.
They are both students.

第一句中的both是同位语,那第二句和第三句的呢?

不定代词 both, all, each 既可以作同位语，也可以作主语和宾语。
一、用作主语的同位语的位置分三种不同情况：
1. 谓语动词是 be，放在 be 后，如第二句：
They are both students.
2. 谓语动词是其他实义动词，放在该动词前，如第一句：
We both tried to get the coins.
3. 谓语动词有助动词+动词构成，放在助动词和动词中间，如：
We have both sticked at our jobs. 我们两个人一直都努力工作。
二、用作宾语的同位语直接跟在宾语后，如：
We tried to find them all.
三、用作主语和宾语
1. 主语，如:
第三句：Both (of them) are students.
Each（of them）wants to try. 他们每人都想试一试。
2. 宾语，如：
The teacher gave each (of us) a list of books. 老师给我们每个人列了一个(阅读)书目。
