In Weld Quay（地点状语）- we（主）- saw（谓）- the houses of the Chinese traders from 100 years ago（整体作宾语 其中他的中心名词为 the houses - of the Chinese traders为the houses的后置定语 - 介词短语from 100 years ago作前面名词短语the houses of the Chinese traders的后置定语，之所以把这个介词短语from 100 years ago看作为中心名词the houses的后置定语，而不是谓语动词saw的时间状语，通过翻译就很明显能看出来了。） 1”作后置定语”. 我们看见了100年前中国商人们的房子。2.”作saw的地点状语” 我们100年前看到了中国商人们的房子。显然第一种作“后置定语”的翻译更加合理一些。
