这俩个短语结构相同，但是后面接的内容不同：
一：be important to，
1. 后面可以接somebody；
表示什么东西或者事情对某人重要，例如：
What other things might be important to you?
还有没有其他事情对你来说也是很重要的呢？
That doesn't imply at all that it has to be important to me.
但那并不意味着对我也很重要。
2. 可以接动名词，此时to是介词，表示对于什么事情来说重要；例如：
That's always going to be important to understanding this work.
这一点对于理解这部作品很重要。
3. 后面可以接动词原形，to+do（后面的动词原形）构成动词不定式，前面通常是it作形式主语；例如：
It is important to get something down on paper.
重要的是要把一些事情写在纸上。
Further, it is important to consider the cost of repairs.
此外，重要的是要考虑修理费用。
It is important to cite examples to support your argument.
用实例来证明你的论点是重要的。
二，be important for ，后面通常接somebody，表示对某人来说重要，而且主语往往是形式主语it，这里的somebody是真正主语动词不定式的逻辑主语。
It is important for him to attend every day. （it是形式主语，him是attend参加的人的）
他每天都要出席，这很重要。
It is important for us to have our eyes examined regularly to check for any sign of eye disease. （我们us是让眼睛得到检查的人）
定期检查眼睛是否有眼疾症状对我们来说很重要。
It is important for a manager to be able to get the support of his peer group. （经理 manager是能得到支持的人）
对于经理而言，得到同级同事的支持很重要。
