虽然两个国家都为游客提供丰富的文化和历史体验，并且更高比例的印度人说着一口流利英语，中国通常有更好的旅游设施这点真的无法否认：更好的机场、更多航班、更方便的铁路、非常先进的高速铁路网、更多经济的4~5星级酒店、更好的卫生、更少贫民窟和乞丐，这是游客通常不喜欢看到的。
对于从发达国家来的游客来说，印度通常被认为更具“挑战”，我觉得这是一个很好的理由。

作为印度人，我不会长篇大论，但我肯定大多数人认同以下观点。
1、我们随意扔垃圾，不考虑公共卫生。
2、我们的男人，受过或没受过教育的，都会盯着女人看。比例很高。
3、第2点提到的这些人，如果有机会，会尝试去侵犯。总对来自印度以外的女人有误解。这个比例很小，因为年龄在20~50岁期间的有4亿男人，每年有40万女性游客，每年有12起对女侵犯案被报道。

4、试图充分利用那些对当地价格、酒店不了解的无助的人。
5、歧视。美国来的黑人得到的待遇和同样来自这个国家的白人不同。
6、对他们的文化不感兴趣，继续重复着“我们的文化是最好的”，上面的1~5点并没有证明这句话。
7、冷漠的政策。

中国比印度大很多，有更多旅游目的地。大多数游客在印度拥挤的城市中待得时间越少，就越喜欢文化和自然景点。中国的文化和自然景点也具有很大的吸引力，但不像印度，中国的城市也很有吸引力。
交通
中国交通设施的质量领先印度很多年，没有可比性。在中国各地旅游比在印度更舒适。中国航空、铁路和公路网都比印度更快、更安全和更现代化。

Chinaislocatednearbymajormarketsforinternationaltourists—Japan,South
Korea,Thailand,andVietnam.India'sneighborshoweveraremostlypoorandnot
majormarketsforinternationaltourists.

就像其他人提到的，印度的情况特别是对女性游客来说非常糟糕。游客必须时刻警惕，防备小偷、扒手、骗局，对于女性游客来说还有骚扰和侵犯。除了扒手和偶尔在旅游陷阱里的骗子，游客在中国几乎没有什么可担心的。暴力犯罪和对女人侵犯几乎闻所未闻。在中国，你可以在城市黑暗的街上行走，没有什么可担心的。
位置
中国不仅国内有更好的交通，在国际上也比印度好很多。从中国到北美和欧洲的航班比印度多得多，中国城市的国际航班数量也更多。中国是主要的国际旅游市场：日本、韩国、泰国和越南。然而，印度的邻国大部分是穷国，不是主要的国际旅游市场。
