我先举几个例子：
1、present： 有“礼物”之意，因为今天的时光对人们来说是宝贵的，故可以把‘今天’的意思和‘礼物’联系起来；
2、commencement：有“开始”之意，因为“毕业典礼”是一个人告别学生阶段、进入社会的标志性转折点，初入社会，一切从头开始，故可以把‘毕业典礼’的意思和‘开始’联系起来；
3、thrifty：有“兴旺的”之意，因为“节俭的”持家能致富，故可以把‘兴旺的’意思和‘节俭的’联系起来；
其实这类词挺多的，synergy 协同/增效作用；bound 跳/猛涨/边界；hip 臀，股/新潮的（所谓的新潮，只有一个原创，其它的都是跟着别人添屁股^-^）；cripple 跛足，使瘫痪/削弱；premium 高价的，优质的/保险费 等等。
但目前，真正让我欣慰的只有present和commencement，这二个词富含哲理，可以让人受益终生。

sometimes i feel that the questions asked on the net are rather idiotic, i really couldn't believe my eyes that so clever ones figure out so straightforward questions. It is not a good trend, which inevitably foster many people's idleness.But a motto strikes me suddenly that the world was mainly built and developed by 20% of human race, and the rest people just constituted to the trivial things,which gives a huge consolation to my inner heart.And given by this phenomenon, i feel cool and calm now.Just Let each one sweep the snow from his own doorstep and heed not the frost on his neighbour's roof.前4个答案都不含哲理
