哪些介词后面可以直接接宾语从句？

但语法书上说介词后面一般不加宾从的，只有表示“除了”的介词后才能接从句，且只能是that引导的宾语从句，而不能是其他连接词引导的宾从，这是为什么？能举些介词后接宾语从句的例子吗？

比较少，需要一定条件才可以，in that 有比较意义才可以。eg.
he is better than others in that he studies harder.
还有一个，except that，不是除了xxx不同。eg.
