<br>i don't like the guys that smoke too much. unfortunately, there are many students around have fallen into the bad habit of smoking. in my opinion, smoking does harm not only to the ones who somke but also to the ones around. here i would like to say something about the reason why people start smoking. some started smoking because they thougt it to be cool with a cigarette at hand; some got addicted to smoking when they got mixed up with with the bad guys; some maybe because of sadnees,loneness or some kind of feelings like that. but no matter what the reasons are, somking is still a bad thing, expecially in public.

<br>we all call for understanding and it is necessary to be understood in daily life.
<br>in the society nowadays, no one can live well without communication with others, and communication requires understanding which will promote understanding in return. we need it all thoughout our life time. during the periods of growing up, we long for the understand of our parents; being with friends, we need mutual understanding to get along well with; when working, we need understanding of the boss and the workmates also; when getting old, we require the understanding of our offspring.

3ãwhat do you think of talking loudly over telephone in public
it depends on what kind of public it is. if the public is a place that many gather togethet with different means,some places like supermarket or a square. in places like these, it is difficult to hear clear because it is so noisy. under this situation, we have no choice but to speak aloud. in the other hand, if the places is library, reading room, classroom and some places like these. in my opinion, it is kind of impolite to do so. because by doing so, i mean, talking loudly over telephone, you surely will disturb others.
so maybe we can come to a conclusion: in a place that is noisy enough, we can do so; but in a place that requires silence, we can never.
4ãdo you or someone you know have family members who live outside China
i know some that are living abroad, amoug which i would like to talk about my english teacher. my english went abroad when i was in my second year in college, and he will be back this july. the country he went to is tanzania which is a beautiful country in africa. he went there as a secretary of one ambassador of china there. we often chat on line and he also sometimes mailed me some pictuers taken there. it is really a place worth of a visit, i think.
