这样看来 从句的时态和主句的时态是密切相关的

在此只举 主 一般过去 的时候 从句时态的例子：

一般现在---一般过去
He said,"I like it."
He said he liked it.

一般将来---过去将来
She said,"I will go."
She said I would go.

一般过去---过去完成或一般过去
My mother said,"Someone called Tom."
My mother said someone
have called\called Tom.

过去完成时则保留原来的时态 也不举例啦；）

另外还要注意
在以下几种情况下。在直接引语变为间接引语时，时态一般不变化。
①直接引语是客观真理。
②直接引语是过去进行时，时态不变。
③直接引语中有具体的过去某年、某月、某日作状语，变为间接引语时，时态不变。
④直接引语如果是一般现在时。表示一种反复出现或习惯性的动作，变间接引语，时态不变。
⑤如果直接引语中的情态动词没有过去时的形式

还有就是人称 比如you--me\i\us等
时间状语的变化也要注意 比如tomorrow---the next day等
当然 这些当然都不是间接引语时态的问题了 更多的技巧还是要在做题中领会

一、若主句的谓语动词是一般过去式，那么间接引语中时态要变化；如果主句的谓语动词是一般现在时，从句时态无需变化．

若变化，如何变化？

往过去退一个时态

一般现在时→ →一般过去时
一般将来时→ →过去将来时
一般过去时→ →过去完成时
现在进行时→ →过去进行时
现在完成时→ →过去完成时
过去完成时→ →过去完成时

一般现在时→ → 一般过去时
He said, “I am not your friend.”
He said that he was not your friend.
一般过去时→ →过去完成时
He said, “Your young brother broke it.”
He said that my young brother had broken it.
现在完成时→ → 过去完成时
He said, “I have lived in Beijing since 1950.”
He said that he had lived in Beijing since 1950.

二、Exercise
“I have been to Beijing before”, said Liping.
→Liping said that he had been to Beijing before.

“What are you doing?”, the man asked me.
→The man asked me what I was doing.

三、在下列情况下，即使主句谓语动词是一般过去时，从句中的时态也不变．
A．当从句中内容为客观真理时：
He said,” A friend in need is a friend indeed.”
→He said that a friend in need is a friend indeed.

He said,” Light travels much faster than sound.”
→He said that light travels much faster than sound.

B.一般过去时的句子中含有表示具体时间的状语时，时态可不变．
She said,” I was born in 1983.”
→She said that she was born in 1983.

C.过去完成时在间接引语中仍为过去完成时，与之联系使用的动词过去时不变“Another new hospital had been built when I went back to my home town last year.” he said.
→He said that another new hospital had been built when he went back to his home town the year before.
