这一组名词都是和表达“事件”有关系，但是从词义的侧重角度来看，它们之间用法是有很大的区别。
（一）accident表示“事故”。
通常 指意外或者偶然发生的事故，常常指不幸的、伤害性的事故。
简单地说（交通）事故，意外遭遇，不测事件。
There have been more traffic accidents lately.
近来车祸更多了。
He was killed in an accident
他死于一次车祸。
The accident happened at 3 p.m.
事故发生于下午3点钟。
常用词组搭配 by accident，表示“意外地”
We met by accident at the airport.

（二）incident 表示“事件，事变”
通常指不寻常的或者令人讨厌的事情 ，
简单地理解这个词，可以是好事情也可以是令人讨厌的不好的事情。
The incident made her very sad .

That was one of the strangest incidents in my life .
那是我一生中所遇到的 最奇怪的事情 之一。
There was a shooting incident near here last night.
昨天夜里这附近发生了枪击 事件
（三）event
常常指重大的事件或者赛事中的项目等。 简单地说就是“重要事情，大事”
Did you remember that event in 2019?
你还记得2019年的大事件吗？
The election was the main event of 2006.
那次的选举是2006年的主要大事。
常用搭配是in the event ，表示“结果，到头来”的意思
I got very nervous about the exam ， but in the event,I needn't have worried ， it was really easy .
我对考试提心吊胆，但其实我本不必担心，这次考试的却很容易。
