Last Friday,the Students’ Union has held a college-wide book fair for charity in front of the Students’ Center.As it is graduation season,many students are graduating and leaving school.They have a lot of old or used books to do away with.In addition,this year also sees the 10th anniversary of Wenchuan earthquake.Therefore,all the books were sold for a reasonable price and all the revenue (收入) from the sale would be given to a middle school in Wenchuan.
I was one of the starters and organizers.I supported this kind of activities whole-heartedly.Currently,many students share my view that if everyone contributes a little to the society,it will be much better.If we cannot go to the poor or backwards areas by ourselves,we should do our best to help,for example,being a volunteer teacher during the summer holidays,or donating some books or clothes to the needy people.Although city dwellers enjoy a comfortable life without worrying about food,housing and warmth,we need to show our love and care to those whose lives are not as happy as ours.Only in the way could all Chinese,whether rich or poor,make progress togethe
